About Alpine Lodge at Red Feather Lakes

Surrounded by the 612,000-acre Roosevelt National Forest, the Red Feather Lakes area in Colorado is a year-round outdoor playground that offers beautiful scenery, diverse wildlife, hiking trails and cozy mountain retreats.

The nearby Cache La Poudre River, Colorado’s first designated Wild and Scenic River, is the area’s best spot for whitewater rafting, paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing. There are at least 12 named lakes in the community, including Parvin Lake, Dowdy Lake, West Lake, Snake Lake, Letitia Lake, Red Feather Lake, Lake Ramona, Hiawatha Lake, Apache Lake, Shagwa Lake, Lake Nokomis, and Lake Erie.

For our campground to be a safe-haven where people of all walks of life come to make unforgettable memories. We invite you to come recharge, have fun and enjoy our beautiful lakes and mountains.

Ways to Stay

We have four comfortable and rustic Cabins, each different sizes that are available to rent year round. In the winter, avid hunters will enjoy the warmth of staying in our cabins after a long day hunting the various big and small game in the area.

Red Feather Tiny Home

The Red Feather Tiny home is one of our largest Tiny Homes. It sleeps up to 6 people. 2 sleeping areas with queen-size beds, 1 full-size sleeper sofa, a bathroom, and kitchen are included. This Tiny home is gorgeous with beautiful views of the forest,  pines, and boulders.

Mountain Lion Tiny Home

New Tiny home with all the bells and whistles. Beautiful views of the forest and boulders. Come stay in our new Tiny home! It’s better than glamping!

Hummingbird Tiny Home

Lot 27 now has a tiny home on it! It is very small and sleeps 2 people. Has a bathroom complete with shower. Small sleeping area, mini fridge, swamp cooler, heater, and sink.

The Wolf Den

The Wolf Den is our renovated retro trailer. We receive a lot of compliments on it’s retro look. The Wolf Den is one of our largest accommodations. Larger families would be most comfortable here. There is a large dining area, kitchen nook, family room, 2 bedrooms and a retro bathroom.

The Moose Cabin

The Moose cabin offers a private bedroom and a cozy sleeping area with plenty of beds and space for your family and friends. The Moose cabin has a full kitchen perfect for cooking  breakfast, lunch or dinner and comes equipped with basic kitchen ware for your convenience.

The Elk Cabin

The Elk Cabin is our cozy medium size cabin that is the perfect size for a smaller family. Fully stocked kitchenette complete with fridge, stove microwave and coffee maker.

The Deer Cabin

Sleeps up to 3 people, kitchen nook which includes a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and electric griddle. 1 bathroom with shower, Bunk bed {Full size on bottom bunk and twin on top bunk}, fire pit.

Large RV Lots - up to 40ft

Lot 22 – Large RV Lot (40 feet)

Lot 22 is a Large RV lot that can accommodate RV’s up to 40 feet. This lot is one of our largest lots. Not a lot of shade. Perfect for RVs with slide outs or retractable awnings.

Medium RV Lots - up to 28ft

Lot 11 – Medium RV Lot (up to 28 feet)

Lot 11 is a Medium RV Lot able to accommodate Class C RV’s up to 28 feet. This lot has plenty of shade, is by the boulder. Lots of trees and pines and has a nice view.

Small RV Lots - 20ft and under

Lot 20 – Small RV Lot (up to 21 feet)

Lot 20 is a Small RV lot made to accommodate Class B RV’s and Trailers 21 feet or smaller. This lot has some shade, boulders and pines. Has a deck.

Frequently Asked Questions

The weather is mostly sunny and in the high 70’s in the summer with cooler temperatures in the evening. Winter is typically in the low 40s to mid 30’s during the day. Night time temperatures are in the low 30’s. It snows about once a week during the winter.

There is currently a fire ban in place for Red Feather Lakes. Please visit the Larimer County website before your travel date for current fire ban restrictions.

Yes, we are pet friendly. There is a one time non refundable $25 per fee per pet. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Please pick up after your pet uses the restroom. You will need to sign a pet waiver when you check out.

Yes, we allow fires. Fires must be in either a fire ring or the fire pit. Only small fires are allowed. You will need to bring your own firewood. 

 We have a few RV lots that have picnic tables. It is a good idea to bring your own table and chairs. 

We have two rustic outhouses in the campground. We do not have toilets, bathrooms, showers, or sinks.

There is no WIFI available and you may not have cell service depending on your carrier.
