The Arapahoe and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland offers diverse fishing opportunities.

There are four public lakes in less than a 15 minutes drive from the Alpine Lodge campground. Bring your friends and family and enjoy a fun day at each of these lakes.

Dowdy Lake: (insert photo of lake)

      1. Dowdy Lake is located at an elevation of 8,120 feet, approximately 104 acres, and a shoreline of about three miles. The maximum depth of the lake is about 28 feet. Canoeing and fishing are popular activities on this 115-acre, no-wake Lake. Motorized boats are allowed on the lake, but a 10 mph speed limit is enforced. Anglers cast for brown, brook, cutthroat and lake trout.

      1. Parvin Lake is at an elevation of 8,130 feet. This gorgeous and tranquil lake is prime for fishing. Bring your fishing gear and enjoy the peace and quiet of Parvin Lake. (Artificial flies/lures only; 2 trout limit) No fishing boats, tubs or kayaks allowed.

      1. The smallest lake of the four, West Lake, sits at an elevation of 8,240 feet. Visitors enjoy the area for its canoeing, fishing and hiking trails. Canoeing and fishing are popular activities on the 25-acre, no-wake West Lake. Anglers cast for rainbow and lake trout.

    1. This beautiful mountain lake sits at an elevation of 8,600 feet. Canoeing and fishing are popular activities on this 10-acre, no-wake Bellaire Lake. Anglers cast for rainbow and brook trout, among other species.
