Alpine lodge is a scenic campground located in Red Feather lakes, Colorado. We offer tent camping, RV rental sites, six tiny homes, and four rustic cabins. The campground is nestled in a pine forest amongst large boulders with access to lakes just minutes away.

Surrounded by the 612,000-acre Roosevelt National Forest, the Red Feather Lakes area in Colorado is a year-round outdoor playground that offers beautiful scenery, diverse wildlife, hiking trails and cozy mountain retreats.

The nearby Cache La Poudre River, Colorado’s first designated Wild and Scenic River, is the area’s best spot for whitewater rafting, paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing. There are at least 12 named lakes in the community, including Parvin Lake, Dowdy Lake, West Lake, Snake Lake, Letitia Lake, Red Feather Lake, Lake Ramona, Hiawatha Lake, Apache Lake, Shagwa Lake, Lake Nokomis, and Lake Erie.

Ways to Stay


We have four comfortable and rustic Cabins, each different sizes that are available to rent year round. In the winter, avid hunters will enjoy the warmth of staying in our cabins after a long day hunting the various big and small game in the area.

The Deer Cabin

Sleeps up to 3 people, kitchen nook which includes a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and electric griddle. 1 bathroom with shower, Bunk bed {Full size on bottom bunk and twin on top bunk}, fire pit.

Frequently Asked Questions

The weather is mostly sunny and in the high 70’s in the summer with cooler temperatures in the evening. Winter is typically in the low 40s to mid 30’s during the day. Night time temperatures are in the low 30’s. It snows about once a week during the winter.

There is currently a fire ban in place for Red Feather Lakes. Please visit the Larimer County website before your travel date for current fire ban restrictions.

Yes, we are pet friendly. There is a one time non refundable $25 per fee per pet. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Please pick up after your pet uses the restroom. You will need to sign a pet waiver when you check out.

Yes, we allow fires. Fires must be in either a fire ring or the fire pit. Only small fires are allowed. You will need to bring your own firewood. 

 We have a few RV lots that have picnic tables. It is a good idea to bring your own table and chairs. 

We have two rustic outhouses in the campground. We do not have toilets, bathrooms, showers, or sinks.

There is no WIFI available and you may not have cell service depending on your carrier.
